Following the discussion, participants viewed a crash test demonstration at the Midwest Roadside Safety Facility (MwRSF) Outdoor Test Site. Monday’s test builds on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s groundbreaking research on the safety implications of EVs on America’s roadways. Collaboration between academic institutions, government agencies, and industry partners is an important first step in addressing these challenges.

A new medical clinic is coming to downtown Norfolk after the city council passed a revised land swap agreement during Monday’s bimonthly meeting. The agreement — which swaps sections of existing city green space along Seventh Street between Norfolk and Braasch avenues for other pieces of land in the vicinity of roughly equivalent square footage — hit a few roadblocks after first being presented to the council early last month.
Nebraska offensive line target to announce commitment on July 5
A four-star offensive line prospect plans to announce his commitment later this week. Class of 2025 prospect SJ Alofaituli will announce his official decision on July 5. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound lineman will decide between Miami, Michigan, and Nebraska. He recently visited all three schools, traveling to Ann Arbor on June 7, Lincoln on June 14, and Miami on June 21. Multiple recruiting services project the Hurricanes as the front-runner for Alofaituli’s commitment. The lineman has also announced that he will play in the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game and the 2025 Polynesian Bowl. He has also confirmed that he will enroll early at whichever school he commits to. SJ Alofaituli will announce his commitment on YouTube on July 5 at 11:00 a.m. CT. Rock Valley man jailed for assault, more
ROCK VALLEY—An 18-year-old rural Rock Valley resident was arrested about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 30, on charges of assault and violation of a no contact/protective order. The arrest of Espn Jordan Green stemmed from him moving in with a protected individual and her family at their rural Rock Valley residence for about three weeks, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
