The beloved gospel music family, known for their soul-stirring harmonies and uplifting performances, were on their way to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise in Alaska when the unthinkable occurred. According to a statement from the Gaither Music Management Group, the Nelons were filled with excitement as they embarked on this musical journey, aiming to share their faith and love for music with audiences far and wide. However, fate had other plans. The plane carrying the Nelons and several other cherished lives crashed in Wyoming, leaving no survivors.
The heartbreaking list of those who perished in the crash includes Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, the talented and beloved couple who had touched the hearts of many with their heartfelt performances. Alongside them were their daughter Amber and son-in-law Nathan Kistler. Also lost in the tragedy was Melodi Hodges, a dedicated assistant whose contributions to the Nelons’ success were immeasurable. The pilot, Larry Haynie, and his wife, Melissa, were also among those who lost their lives.

Thank you for the prayers that have been extended already to me, my husband, Jamie, and our soon-to-be-born baby boy, as well as Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. We appreciate your continued prayers, love and support as we navigate the coming days. Autumn Nelon Streetman”
As the world grappled with the shock and sorrow of this tragedy, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) launched an investigation into the crash.
