Wyoming High School 4A-3A Girls Basketball Scoreboard: Feb. 22-24, 2024
This is the final week of the regular season for Wyoming prep girls’ basketball teams in 3A and 4A. Several conference games are key to determining seeding at next week’s regional tournaments. Tiebreakers will also help decide those regional seeds. Here is the schedule of varsity games WyoPreps has. If you see a game missing, please email david@wyopreps.com.
Wyoming High School State Wrestling Scoreboard 2024
The 2024 Wyoming high school wrestling season will conclude in Casper from February 22-24 at the Ford Wyoming Center. Girls will be competing in their 2nd state championship with more teams competing this year. 2A, 3A, and 4A boys' will be wrestling following the girls on all seven mats for the three days.
Natrona’s Lexie Ransom Signs with Southern Wesleyan for Basketball
Natrona basketball player Lexie Ransom will be headed back to South Carolina and play at the college level for Southern Wesleyan. As a sophomore, she averaged 24 points a game for her Seneca, SC. team and played at Natrona for 2 years. She was an All-Conference selection in her junior year as she averaged 10 points a game and shot a remarkable 54% from the floor. This season, she has been the leading scorer for the Fillies averaging 11 points per game and had a 24 point effort vs. Riverton and a 20 point game vs. Thunder Basin. She also has played with the NOCO Triple Threat Club team with some very talented teammates from the State of Wyoming.
Wyoming High School Skiing Scoreboard: Feb. 23-24, 2024
The 2024 high school alpine skiing regular season will conclude in Jackson during Week 10 of the season. It’s the Pinedale Invitational, but due to the conditions at the White Pines Ski Area outside of Pinedale, the ski meet got moved to Jackson. Skiing fans, if you are at a race and taking pictures of the race, WyoPreps would like to use them with your permission. Wyoming High School Indoor Track Scoreboard: Feb. 20-23, 2024
It’s the final chance for a tune-up or to qualify for the state indoor track championships. The last week, or Week 7, of the 2024 Wyoming High School indoor track season is this week. The two Casper schools held a dual early in the week, while Sheridan will host in Gillette, and Laramie holds their second meet of the year. A few teams are choosing to just train before next weekend’s state championships in Gillette.
2024 Wyoming High School Nordic Skiing State Championship Preview
The Wyoming High School Nordic Skiing State Championships are this weekend to conclude the 2024 prep season. The Casper Mountain Trails Center serves as the host site on Friday and Saturday. This year’s championships feature a shorter freestyle race and a longer classic race. Natrona’s Ally Wheeler is back to defend her titles in both disciplines. Lander’s Bennett Hutchison won the boys’ skate race in 2023. There will be a new champion in the classic race for the boys.

Final Small School Rankings are in the New WyoPreps Basketball Polls
The favorites most of the year were still at the top of the final 1A and 2A rankings in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Polls. Cokeville and Tongue River are No. 1 in the girls’ polls, and Upton and Tongue River were first in the boys’ rankings, as the small schools head to postseason play on Thursday.
The Streak Rolls on for Lander Tigers Boys’ Swimming [VIDEOS]
The dynasty continued last Saturday for the Lander Tigers boys’ swimming and diving program. They won their 28th straight Class 3A Boys Swimming and Diving State Championship in Laramie. The Tigers won eight of the 12 events and scored 308 team points for their latest title. Three swimmers, Benny Kulow Sr.), Finn Richards (Jr.), and Reed McFadden (Sr.) won two events each, and Lander won two of the three relays.
Wyoming Coaches Association Announces 2024 All-State Honors for Boys Swimmers and Divers
The all-state awards for the 2023-24 Wyoming High School boys’ swimming and diving season are revealed by the Wyoming Coaches Association. The top two finishers in an individual event and the members of a winning relay team in each classification at the state swim meet earned all-state accolades. That’s according to WCA guidelines. There is no voting for this honor.
Wyoming High School State Wrestling Preview 2024
The last week of Wyoming High School wrestling ends in Casper. The state tournament is February 22-24, 2024 at the Ford Wyoming Center. The layout looks a little different this year with both boys and girls wrestling on all three days this year. Girls will wrestle first, then boys on all seven mats.

PhotoFest: Cody Sweeps Kelly Walsh in 4A Basketball
Throughout the last 2 and a half seasons plus, the Cody girl's basketball team has lost just 2 games. After running the table en route to the 4A championship a year ago, the Fillies have won 17 in a row after losing their season-opening game to Campbell County. Cody dominated Casper-Kelly Walsh on Friday at home 58-29 with All-State player Molly Hays throwing in 5, 3-pointers in the game, She is leading 4A in scoring with an average of 22 points per game and threw in 24 in their road win over Rock Springs on Saturday. Kelly Walsh is 9-11 on the year and has been paced by Kennedy Davila who has been averaging 12 points a game with Lillian Hudson throwing in 10 per contest.
PhotoFest: 3A East Regional Wrestling Tournament
The 3A East Regional Wrestling Tournament in Torrington was a two-day extravaganza with boys and girls competition. The girl's field had 22 schools from all three classifications with Sheridan nipping Thunder Basin for 1st place 134-129. Cheyenne Central was 3rd with 126, Cheyenne East 4th with 111 and Campbell County 5th with 109. Here's a look at the top two finishers in each weight class for the ladies.

The post-season is upon us for high school boys’ teams in Classes 1A and 2A. Here is the schedule for the regional tournaments on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Burns, Lander, Laramie, and Riverton are the sites of these big games. The top four teams from each region advance to the state tournament in Casper on Feb. 29 through March 2, 2024. Each of these eight-team brackets is double-elimination.
Wyoming High School Girls Basketball 1A-2A Regional Scoreboard: Feb. 22-24, 2024
The post-season for Wyoming high school basketball teams in Classes 1A and 2A is here. This is the schedule for girls’ basketball teams at the regional tournaments. Burns, Lander, Laramie, and Riverton are hosting the action on the court from Thursday through Saturday. The top four teams from each region will qualify for the state tournament in Casper on Feb. 29 through March 2, 2024. These are eight-team double-elimination tournaments.
PhotoFest: 2A West Regional Wrestling Tournament
The 2A West Regional Wrestling Tournament featured some powerful boys' teams that will make some noise at this week's State Tournament in Casper. That 2A West Regional was held in Shoshoni and this was a boys-only tournament with the 2A West girls competing in Riverton. The Kemmerer Rangers took 1st in the team standings with 193.5 points, Thermopolis was 2nd with 178.5. Big Piney 3rd with 156.5 points, Lovell 4th with 110, and Greybull/Riverside took 5th with 103 points. Here's a look at the top two placers in each weight class.
PhotoFest: 2A East Regional Wrestling Tournament
The 2A East Regional Wrestling Tournament was held on Saturday at Tongue River High School and this was a boys-only tournament as the 2A East girls were in Torrington to compete in that Regional. For the guys in Dayton, Moorcroft took 1st place with 274 points. Lingle Fort-Laramie/Southeast was 2nd with 223, Upton 3rd with 106, Tongue River 4th with 81.5 and Wright placed 5th with 71. Here's a list of the top two finishers in each weight class.
Wyoming Track Athletes Shine at Simplot Games
The huge Simplot Games Indoor Track meet was held over the weekend on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello and once again, a huge Wyoming contingent took part. Overall, there were well over 2000 athletes from 19 states and 3 countries competing so it was an elite-level meet.
Wyoming High School Boys Basketball Standings: Feb. 18, 2024
The boys' basketball season at the high school level in Wyoming has completed 11 weeks of the 2024 season. For small school teams in 1A and 2A, the regular season is done. For some teams, it's on to the regional tournaments, while others have seen their season come to a close. Class 3A and 4A teams have one week remaining in their regular season. This update to the standings included all games played through Feb. 17, 2024.
