Nichols town board votes to close Carriage House museum at end of Bicentennial celebration
Tensions were high at the Nichols town board meeting Tuesday night as the board took action to amend what deputy town supervisor Brenda Fay-Pelotte described as a “deficiency” found by the town’s attorney. One hospitalized after North Towanda house fire, firefighter also hurt
NORTH TOWANDA TOWNSHIP, PA. (WENY) -- One person was taken to Robert Packer Hospital with minor injuries after their home caught on fire on Sugar Creek Rd. in North Towanda Township Friday morning. According to the Bradford County Department of Public Safety, a firefighter was also hurt in the fire. They have since been treated and released.

Binghamton Police Wake Dozing Driver, Find Loaded Gun and Drugs
An Endicott man faces a dozen felony charges after a Binghamton police officer spotted him on State Street slumped over the steering wheel of his car. Authorities said 20-year-old Lavar McDaniel was arrested after the officer was able to wake him and speak with him. The vehicle had been stationary but running near the intersection of State Street and Dennison Avenue on the city's East Side around 6 p.m. Thursday.
