    Four arrested on drug charges over Fourth of July during ‘Operation Firecracker’

    WYTHE COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – The Wythe County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to report they have made four drug-related arrests with ‘Operation Firecracker’ in Wytheville over the 4th of July holiday.

    According to the sheriff, during a warrant search on Grayson Turnpike in Speedwell and High Meadows Apartments, Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, $3,846 in cash, baggies, scales, two handguns, and ammunition, were allegedly found and seized.

    Lynchburg man sentenced to 12 years for distributing fentanyl

    William Logan Atkins, Samantha Sue Ellis, Sarah Denise Wohlford, and Lindsay Marie Neal were all charged with possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.

    Atkins, Ellis, and Neal were also charged with possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon.

    This investigation is still ongoing, and more charges and arrests are pending in the future.
