Yadkinville will celebrate the July 4 holiday on Saturday with an evening of live music, food trucks, parade, and fireworks. The festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. on East Elm Street in Yadkinville with the stage located in the town parking lot behind the Chamber of Commerce.
Krystal King will perform beginning at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. This year's celebration will also include a kid zone with bounce houses and a foam party, located in the town parking lot next to Collide Church. Also located there and in the Central Permit Office parking lot, will be a craft vendor market with more than 25 artisans. Fireworks will follow at dark at Yadkinville Elementary.
Food trucks on site for the event will include OG BBQ, Soul to Bowl, CrazyDog Taco Truck, Tipsy Tagalong, Green Mesa Blueberry Farm, Aloha Gone South, Astro Dogs, Dudley’s Dugout, Super Snack Shop, Mr. People Feeder, Mermaids on the Go, Garden Route Coffee, Lilly’s Lemonade, A-Maize-Ing Kettle Korn, and Gunter’s Grill on Wheelz.
No outside alcohol or coolers will be permitted during the event, but beer and wine will be available for purchase starting at 5 p.m. from Incendiary Brewing, Appalachian Mountain Brewing, Stardust Cellars and Christian Paul Vineyards. Please note that age identification is required for alcohol purchases.
Weather note: Due to the popularity of this event, organizers make every effort to proceed as scheduled. However, when severe weather threatens, the safety of visitors and performers is of utmost concern. As a result, decisions on whether to continue or cancel a concert are based entirely on the potential risks posed by inclement weather. Should there be a weather threat, the decision to proceed will be made as soon as possible.
