    Penta El 0M.

The Lucha Brothers have been a staple of AEW's tag-team division since the company began in May 2019. Comprised of Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, the tag team has been a staple on both "AEW Dynamite" and "AEW Collision."

However, the luchadors have done everything there is to do within the company. They've held the tag team and trios championships. They've had big-time matches and hot storylines.

Now, both Penta and Fenix are expected to leave the company at the end of their contracts.

"Those that we’ve spoken to believe that the Lucha Bros want to be a package deal and don’t want to go to NXT," Fightful Select reported on Thursday . "One source close to the duo says it wouldn’t be surprising to see him in Orlando to prepare for the defection sooner than later. Perhaps the most surprising element is that we’ve had numerous sources close to the duo that say they’ve been pretty open in claiming that they’ve had WWE talks already and that there is a preliminary offer on the table similar to that of what AEW was offering."

Assuming WWE honors their wishes, it would make sense to see the Lucha Brothers' debut on RAW, providing a much-needed jolt to the tag-team division.

During AEW's rise to prominence, Tony Khan's company built the bulk of its offering around a heavy focus on tag-team wrestling. Penta and Fenix would bring high-flying physicality to whatever brand they landed with.

Penta and Fenix would join a growing list of former AEW talents in WWE. Cody Rhodes, Shawn Spears, Ethan Page and Jade Cargill are spread out throughout the company, each with their own form of success .

They could also be joined by Ricky Starks, who is also expected to make the jump at the end of his own contract.

Losing the Lucha Brothers would be a significant hit to AEW's tag-team division. They've been a staple for years and are one of the more talented duos the company has to offer. Their exit would come shortly after AEW lost tag team legends The Hardy Brothers earlier this year .

Still, seeing Penta and Fenix in WWE would be a breath of fresh air, as there would be countless untapped storylines and matches for them to work through. On paper, it's a move that makes perfect sense for everyone except AEW.

Unfortunately, Khan's company is at risk of losing some of its homegrown talent, so we may see another recruitment drive before the end of the year.
