    Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles closed their 2024 training camp, which was held following the club's collapse late last season. This occurred as rumors regarding alleged issues between head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts hovered over the organization.

Hurts spoke on Wednesday about how working with new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and new quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier this summer created a different environment than the signal-caller experienced in previous years.

" I 've had a different voice in my ear every year, " Hurts said about having three offensive coordinators in as many seasons, as Bob Brookover of NJ Advance Media for NJ.com shared. " There are definitely challenges when you have that constant change and you don’t really have that continuity there, but there is also constant opportunity , and I’ve really been forging a good relationship with Doug and coach Kellen and really communicating at a high level ."

It was said shortly after Moore and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio joined the Eagles this past winter that Sirianni would be embracing " more of a CEO-type role, " in part to help Hurts reclaim the form that made him a finalist for the 2022 regular-season Most Valuable Player Award. This summer, reports indicated that Hurts and Sirianni needed what Brookover called " a new marital arrangement. "

Hurts signed a five-year contract extension reportedly worth up to $255M with $179.3M guaranteed in the spring of 2023, but recent history shows clubs aren't as afraid to move on from such deals as they were even a few years ago. Meanwhile, it seems that former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will be mentioned as a possible replacement for Sirianni until further notice.

"E verybody has a vision of what they want [the offense] to be and every vision for how something should operate, " Hurts added during his comments. " But to execute that vision, you really have to have a good foundation and a strong process. We’ve been very oriented around the process. Not necessarily the results, but learning from everything every day. "

It was revealed earlier this week that Sirianni and his staff utilized " a whole bunch of team-building " this offseason in an attempt " to recapture the special mix that existed between the coaches and players and within the group of players themselves during the 2022 Super Bowl run. " On paper, the 2024 Eagles have the goods to compete for more than a playoff berth, and that reality is why Sirianni needs Hurts to thrive under Moore beginning with the Week 1 game versus the Green Bay Packers in Brazil on Sept. 6.

As of Thursday morning, DraftKings Sportsbook listed the Eagles third among the betting favorites at +600 odds to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LIX.
