Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

It didn't play out how we predicted, but Wednesday night's game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels went over the total to cash our second straight Look of the Day this week. Let's keep it rolling with our first pick for the 2024 NFL season. Football is back, baby!

Look of the Day: Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs under 47 (-106 DraftKings )

The NFL season gets underway on Thursday night with an intriguing matchup between the Ravens and Chiefs, and we're expecting a lower-scoring affair than the market.

You'd think the Chiefs would feel comfortable in shootouts with Patrick Mahomes calling the shots offensively, but that's not who this team was last season. Kansas City ranked second in the NFL in points allowed per game (17.0), fifth in total defense (298.9) and fifth in opponent third-down conversion rate (35.5 percent). Steve Spagnuolo and the defense were just as crucial to last year's Super Bowl run as Mahomes was.

The Chiefs lost cornerback L'Jarius Sneed in the offseason, but that won't hurt as much against Baltimore's run-heavy offensive scheme. The Ravens want to run the ball to set up play-action shots down the field, but they might struggle to execute that in Week 1 considering they're replacing three starting offensive linemen from last season. Chris Jones and George Karlaftis will be licking their chops in this matchup against an inexperienced group.

On the other side, the Ravens lost defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald and a few key pieces of their league-leading defense, but they still have the ability to slow down Mahomes with Justin Madubuike, Roquan Smith and Kyle Hamilton. The Chiefs also started slow last season with only 37 points in their first two games.
