A general view of the end zone at MetLife Stadium.

New York Giants fans have seen enough of the 2024 season and it's only Week 1.

With over four minutes remaining in the third quarter of New York's home-opener against the Minnesota Vikings, fans began to leave the stands as evidenced by video taken from the press box.

New York quarterback Daniel Jones had just thrown his first interception of the season and it was returned for a touchdown to put Minnesota up 28-6.

Giants fans were probably right to leave at that point as that's how the game would ultimately end.

Minnesota's Andrew Van Ginkle, who returned the interception for a score, recorded the fastest pick-six in the NFL since - wait for it - Andrew Van Ginkle in Week 13 last year. He clocked in at 1.16 seconds at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, according to NextGen Stats .

Jones finished his day with 186 yards and two picks. He's being paid $40 million by New York this season, while ex-Giants running back Saquon Barkley scored three times in his Philadelphia debut on Friday after New York let him walk in free agency.

General manager Joe Schoen's long nightmare isn't over, not by a mile, but New York has an escape hatch with Jones after this season. If his form doesn't improve drastically, he'll be in need of a job come February.
