Dartmouth Police Apprehended Two People In An Alleged Large-scale Retail Theft Ring In Massachusetts And Rhode Island
Local police have arrested two individuals from Massachusetts on charges of shoplifting. However, it is suspected that their involvement may extend beyond this crime. At around 1:00 p.m. last Friday, the Dartmouth Police were notified of a shoplifting incident at Kohl’s located at 81 Faunce Corner Road. The police have reason to believe that this shoplifting incident is linked to a bigger organized retail crime group.
Old Mill Restoration to Start in Early August
The Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) will conduct a major restoration project at the Old Mill, funded by the Nantucket Community Preservation Committee (CPC), beginning in early August 2024. The project will include critical work such as re-shingling the entire structure, pest control and repairs, and overall structural repairs and reinforcement. The project will also include visitor experience enhancements with an unintrusive interpretive shed on the property for ADA accessibility enhancements.
