Stove and Co. Restaurant Group and Jasper’s Backyard Owners Announce Rooster’s, Coming to Glenside
Stove and Co. Restaurant Group will team up with the owners of Jasper’s Backyard to open Rooster’s at 294 N. Keswick Avenue. Justin Weathers, Joe Monnich and Glenside native Matt Moyer (Stove and Tap, Al Pastor, Joey Chops, GBU) and Chris Magarity (Jasper’s Backyard) will open the classic American pub with a focus on great food and drinks, a welcoming and lively atmosphere, and customer service that will have locals feeling like royalty. The new bar, restaurant and community space will occupy the former home of Keswick Tavern. Rooster’s will pay homage to Moyer’s recently deceased father, who was very involved and well known in the Glenside community.
Presenting 2024 All-Main Line boys lacrosse teams
The 2024 Main Line high school boys’ lacrosse scene was highlighted by several championship teams. Radnor captured the PIAA 3A state tournament title, Haverford School won the Inter-Ac title, Malvern Prep won the Victory Events National Prep Championship and Episcopal Academy advanced to the PAISAA tournament championship finals. In the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys National Rankings, Malvern Prep (20-2) was ranked No. 3 and Haverford School (20-2) fifth. Other notable teams included Conestoga (13-7), Episcopal Academy (14-7) and Devon Prep (won first-ever District 12 AA title).
2-year-old injured after being trapped under fallen tree branch in Montgomery County
A 2-year-old boy was seriously injured after a freak accident took place in Montgomery County on Saturday.Police say a large tree branch fell on the boy's arm, severing it.It happened at approximately 6 p.m. at a home on Chandler Road in Cheltenham Township.When first responders arrived at the home, the toddler's arm was trapped under the fallen branch.Authorities say the boy was attending a birthday party when the incident took place.He was flown to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment. There is no word yet on his condition.
