Arkansas airports awarded $10.5M in federal grants
BENTONVILLE, Ark. — The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded nearly $10.5 million in grants for improvements at airports across Arkansas. The largest grant went to Northwest Arkansas National Airport, which received $3.89 million to reconstruct an air traffic control tower. Texarkana Regional Airport and Z.M. Jack Stell Field in Crossett each received grants of more than $1 million.
More Charges for Boone County Woman For Assault
A woman already charged with assaulting her estranged husband is now facing charges in a different incident. According to the probable cause affidavit posted by KTLO, 58-year-old Melody Jane Tapprich of rural Harrison is facing additional three charges against her estranged husband for an incident where she was alleged to have cut him with a razor blade knife during an argument. Both Tapprich and her husband had contacted authorities claiming one was attacking the other.

UPDATE, Aug. 16, 2024, 2 p.m.: Officials say Sutterfield has been located and is fine. Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Mountain View man. According to Stone County Sheriff Brandon Long, Lesley Earl Sutterfield (pictured), 55, was reported missing on Thursday morning, Aug. 15, by his family. Arkansas and Illinois have agreed to play a neutral-site game at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, it was jointly announced Friday by the schools and CBS Sports, which will air the game on Nov. 28.
