Local government meetings vote to restrict Airbnb's
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe County Commissioners, Lafayette and West Lafayette City Council's all voted to pass an ordinance restricting Airbnb's. The ordinance states transient guest houses are not permitted by right or by special exception in single-family zones. These four zones include R1, R1A, R1B, and R1U.
Purdue's MMRL Announces New Indianapolis Presence
In an effort to accelerate physical, digital and sustainable manufacturing efforts across Indiana, Purdue University's Manufacturing and Materials Research Laboratories (MMRL) will establish a presence in Indianapolis at 16 Tech Innovation District, the city's destination for innovation and entrepreneurship, deep inside the heart of the Hard-Tech Corridor. MMRL will locate in 16 Tech's Machyne makerspace, the region's leading makerspace for prototyping. Purdue University in Indianapolis, Purdue's new, comprehensive urban campus in Indiana's capital city, officially launched July 1.

You don't need to go far to enjoy fireworks this Fourth of July. Displays are scheduled on both sides of the river that are open for all to enjoy. If you plan to stay on the west side, the West Lafayette Golf and Country Club is hosting a celebration beginning at 4 p.m. with food and activities ending with fireworks at dusk.
