High school senior Calvin Lindo of Yonkers takes the Stepinac High School Theater stage as the leading role in a lively adaptation of the hit film inspired by a true story, “Catch Me If You Can.”

    Based on a True Story

Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, “Catch Me If You Can” follows the story of a young Frank Abagnale Jr. as he rises to the top through illegitimate means. His exploits include forged checks and fake identities, eventually gaining him the success he desired. However, his good fortune eventually catches the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, who then pursues Abagnale across the country. This ultimately leads Abagnale to become a world-renowned expert on identity theft and fraud consulting.

Yonkers-own Calvin Lindo leads the play as Frank Abagnale Jr. with Carl Hanratty played by Ryan Diaz, a high school senior from New York City. The female leads will be played by Kennedy Catholic High School's Sarah Couglan and Brewster High School's Arianna Arocho, respectively. Frank Portanova will direct the show and Keith Sunderland takes the producer's chair.

The performance by the critically acclaimed Stepinac Theater will feature spirited dance numbers, memorable songs, and a stirring, impactful storyline. Stepinac Theater has been an influential part of the journey of many Stepinac students throughout the years. Its historic roster includes well-known professional actors such as Academy Award winner Jon Voight and Emmy-Award winner Alan Alda.
