    Concerts, screenings and seafood – oh my! Summer lovers will have no shortage of things to do in Westchester and beyond as July gets started with a weekend full of events. Here are seven activities to check out this weekend:

    Salsa night in Yonkers

    Enjoy an evening of salsa and Latin music during the Hudson River Museum’s Free First Fridays event this week, featuring music by DJ J. Antonio and bilingual art workshop with Carolina Amarillo.

    This event is free to attend.

    Trivia Fridays in Haverstraw

    Stony Point Brewing Company is hosting its weekly Friday trivia night this weekend. Go solo or bring a team to compete for a grand prize by answering questions from a wide variety of topics — like pop culture, presidents and more — while enjoying a beer made from locally-source ingredients.

    Trivia Fridays are free to join.

    When: 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, July 5.

    Summer Sounds concert series in New Rochelle

    Join the New Rochelle Council on the Arts for its Summer Sounds concert this weekend. Entertainment for the evening includes salsa music with Edgar Suarez and a mix of Latin jazz, funk and salsa with MANNY’S BOOGALOOI CREW.

    This event is free attend, but there is a $5 parking lot fee.

    When: 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 5.

    ‘Home Alone’ screening in Dobbs Ferry

    This week’s "Winter in July" movie series at the Old Croton Aqueduct features the film “Home Alone.” Attendees are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and a blanket or a chair to sit on for this family-friendly event.

    This event is free to attend.

    When: 8:30 to 10 p.m., Friday, July 5.

    Where: East lawn of the Keeper’s house of the Old Croton Aqueduct, 15 Walnut St., Dobbs Ferry.

    John Jay Homestead farm market in Katonah

    Saturdays in the summer are Farm Market days at the John Jay Homestead. Customers can peruse produce, meat, eggs and shop for other artisan food goods. Customers are also welcome to explore the grounds of the historic John Jay Homestead.

    When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6.

    Independence Day weekend lobster, shrimp and crawfish boil in Brewster

    This is the place to be this weekend for seafood lovers. Clock Tower Grill is hosting a lobster, shrimp and crawfish boil at their restaurant in celebration of Independence Day. The menu includes sausage, jambalaya, fried chicken, coleslaw, mac and cheese and – of course – lobster, shrimp and crawfish.

    Tickets for this event cost $65 per person.

    Downtown Summer Sizzle concert series in New Rochelle

    Not to be confused with the Summer Sounds concert series (which also takes place during the summer in New Rochelle), the Downtown Summer Sizzle concert series is scheduled to host the Tom Petty tribute band, Refugee, this weekend. According to the website for the concert series, “Refugee has played to sold out venues as far east as NYC, as far south as Orlando, Florida and as far west as San Diego, California.”

    This event is free to attend.

    When: 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, July 6.

    Where: Ruby Dee Park Library Green, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

    Black Staatsburg in the Gilded Age conversation in Staatsburg

    Join the staff at Staatsburgh State Historic Site for a special conversation that will dive into what the Gilded Age meant for the free Black community of Staatsburg village beyond the walls of the Mills estate, exploring census records, historic maps and the larger conversation of race relations during the Gilded Age.

    This event is free to attend but requires reservations.

    When: 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, July 7.

    Where: Staatsburgh State Historic Site, 75 Mills Mansion Drive, Road #1, Staatsburg.
