    Man Killed In Head-On Crash With Tractor-Trailer: York Co. Coroner (UPDATE)

    A 53-year-old man has died in a head-on crash involving a tractor-trailer on Lincoln Highway/US Route 30, according to the York County Coroner on Tuesday, July 23.

    The man's 2004 Ford F-250 was going east in the 7000 block of the highway when, for an unknown reason he left his lane, entering the westbound traffic, and striking a 2006 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer head-on, as explained in the coroner's release.

    The Springettsbury Township resident who was driving the pickup was not wearing a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene at 8:48 p.m. on Monday, July 22, authorities explained in multiple separate releases. "Deputy Coroner Michele Kirchner responded to the scene to investigate and certify the death," as stated in the coroner's release.

    There will be no autopsy, but a routine toxicology test was performed, according to the coroner's office. His name will be released after his family is notified.

    The tractor-trailer driver was a 46-year-old man from Brampton, Ontario. "He was not injured from the crash," police said in a release.

    The first call to the crash came in at 8:16 p.m., according to the York County Department of Emergency Services. The highway was closed between Queen Street and Lake Road in Paradise Township was closed for approximately three hours.

    The Northern York County Regional Police is investigating this fatal crash.
