Day 3 of the York State Fair: Here's what's happening today

Today is the third day of the York State Fair, and it's UPMC Heroes Appreciation Day .

Firefighters, police, EMS, veterans, active-duty military, and all healthcare personnel with proper identification will receive free admission. It includes one guest.

The fair, which started Friday, runs through Sunday, July 28.

Here are three things to check out:

Salute to Heroes Parade

As part of heroes appreciation day, a parade will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. around the fairgrounds. It will start at the infield. UPMC is sponsoring it.

Lainey Wilson to perform to a sold-out crowd at the York State Fair

Lainey Wilson with special guest Colby Acuff will perform at 8 p.m. Sunday on the Bobcat of York Grandstand.

The show is sold out.

Wilson won five trophies at the 2023 CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year.

Who's performing on the free Froggy 107.7 stage

Three entertainers will be performing on the free stage :

• 4:30 p.m.: Christian Yeager
• 5:30 p.m.: Chris Woodward
• 6:30 p.m.: George Birge
