( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) – A motorcyclist was shot at several times before being killed in an accident involving a tractor-trailer on Highway 521 in Lancaster County, authorities said.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a 911 call at 6:47 a.m. on Monday about a domestic situation on Highway 521 near North Corner Road.

A witness reported that a woman had been shooting at a man who was seen speeding away on a motorcycle. The witness reported that a vehicle, with two women inside, stayed on the side of the road and the motorcyclist continued north on Highway 521.

A short time later, more 911 calls came in about a motorcycle that had been involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Highway 521 and Highway 5.

As emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found Stephen Duran Harmon, 33, of York, South Carolina, dead. The exact circumstances involving the deadly wreck remain under investigation.

Investigators determined before the fatal crash occurred, the entire ordeal began at a home along Cedar Circle Road. Harmon reportedly left the home on his motorcycle and pulled over on Highway 521. Two women, identified as Holly Tuttle, 33, and Tiffany Vinson, 30, both of Lancaster, had followed him.

Investigators think some sort of fight took place along Highway 521 before Tuttle reportedly fired a handgun at Harmon multiple times as he sped away on his bike. Ballistic evidence was found following the shooting, the sheriff’s office said.

Tuttle and Vinson were located on Cedar Circle Road, where they live. A search warrant was conducted at the home and both women were arrested.

The women have been charged with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature and discharging a firearm at an occupied vehicle.

While searching the home, investigators said they found evidence of the shooting, along with 1,501 fentanyl pills, 3.6 grams of marijuana, 8.96 grams of methamphetamine and various other prescription pills. Both women face various drug-related charges.

Authorities are still seeking witnesses who might have seen part of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 803-313-2146.
