Today the NOPGA hosted their last 18 hole event of the season at Columbia Hills. In the Boys 16-19 division, Fitch Farina earned his win after a one under par, 70. In the Girls 16-19 division, Emma Packard took home her win after a ten over par, 81. In the Boys 14-15 division, Peyton Wolf grabbed his win after a three over par, 74. In the Girls 11-15 division, Yumi Kohara took home yet another win after a ten over par, 81. In the Boys 11-13 division, Coleson Paez and Elijah Stewart tied with a pair of one over par, 72’s.
Wayne County Fair announces pre-fair celebration
The Wayne County Fair is celebrating 175 years this year. As part of the festivities, there is a pre-fair celebration being planned for August 17 and 18. Kicking it off will be a parade on August 17 at 10 am in downtown Wooster. Line-up and parking will be at the west end of the fairgrounds starting at 8am. Youth accused of fatal crash while fleeing in stolen car is indicted on murder charge
CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Cleveland youth accused of causing a fatal crash while fleeing from police in a stolen car has been indicted in adult court. Tyron Griffin, who is now 18, is charged with the murder of Michelle Wall, a 44-year-old Cleveland mother, on St. Patrick’s Day. He was 17 and didn’t have a driver’s license when he crashed into Wall’s car following a police chase between Euclid and Cleveland, authorities say.
