    Power restored to Youngstown neighborhood: FirstEnergy

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A power outage in Youngstown’s Idora neighborhood that affected over 130 customers early Sunday morning, causing a road closure.

    U.S. Route 62 at Glenwood Avenue was closed as crews with the power company blocked off the scene. A telephone pole was badly damaged.

    Earlier Sunday morning, the outage affected over 870 customers, according to FirstEnergy.

    Power was restored to the neighborhood shortly before 1 p.m. The outage status was updated every 15 minutes on the power company’s website.

    A crew from FirstEnergy was at the scene to look into the cause of the outage and to make the necessary repairs. A portion of Route 62 remains was closed at the time.
