Jonathan Martinez-Lozana, 30, was arraigned before Judge Carla Baldwin in municipal court on two counts of felonious assault, a second-degree felony. He is expected to have a preliminary hearing July 3.

He is charged with a shooting about 4 p.m. Monday at the Plaza View apartment complex on McGuffey Road that wounded two people.

Chief of Detectives Capt. Jason Simon said the shooting arose out of an argument among family members. Martinez-Lozana drove to the apartment complex and was arguing with a family member there when the shots were fired, Simon said.

Both victims were treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
