YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Youngstown community gathered Sunday afternoon for another event to help reduce gun violence in the city.

A Stop the Violence Bike Ride was at Wick Park. It was the first time the event had local motorcycle clubs taking part.

Saturday night, the community gathered at Glenwood Park , very close to where an 18-year-old woman was recently shot and killed.

First News talked to the president of a local bike club who said why he’s taking part and supporting the community.

“We ride these streets in Youngstown up and down. People see us, and we want people to know that we stand with them versus against them for this community,” said Chris Young, also known as K.O. — president of Jokers Wrath.

The Youngstown community held two Stop the Violence events this weekend and hopes to see change.
