Carl Moore, 34, is in the Mahoning County jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a third-degree felony; and discharging firearms within city limits, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Moore was arrested after police were called about 5:30 p.m. to the 400 block of Willis Avenue for a report of a man chasing a woman. When officers arrived a woman told them she was fleeing her home on the West Side after Moore broke in the night before and choked her when she saw him in a vehicle as she was on her way to her grandparents.

The woman told police Moore threatened her and then fired three shots at her from an AK-47-style semiautomatic rifle before driving away.

The woman had a video of Moore holding the gun and dispatchers also reported hearing gunshots when the woman called 911, reports said.

Moore was found at the home of a relative in the 1300 block of East Boston Avenue a short time later and taken into custody.
