Oakchella in Oakhurst aims to raise money for new teen center

OAKHURST, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Oakchella is getting ready to entertain crowds and raise funds in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

The family-friendly music festival in Oakhurst will feature:

• Live music
• Southgate Beer Garden vendor village
• Kid zone with interactive sound stage
• Food truck alley
• and more

Event organizers say the proceeds from the event will go toward opening a teen center in Oakhurst. The center will be the first of its kind in the community and will provide a safe place for teenagers to hang out.

“As the sun sets, the venue transforms into a hub of joy and harmony, with live music resonating from the main stage, a bustling vendor village offering unique treasures, an intimate acoustic sound stage, a lively beer garden, and a dedicated kids club ensuring fun and safety for the whole family.”

The festival will be hosted at the Oakhurst Community Center on Sept. 14 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Doors open at noon. Tickets are $20, but children 12 and under get in free.
