FRESNO, Calif. ( KGPE ) – The sixth annual Kick It Outreach event returns Saturday, August 17. The event helps children in need by providing them with a new pair of shoes, haircuts, braids, school supplies, and more.

This year’s event is being held at Impact Church on 4665 North First Street in Fresno from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The church is located near Fashion Fair Mall before you get to Gettysburg Avenue.

The event will include free shoes for children in need, haircuts, braiding for girls, backpacks and school supplies, food, raffles, and more.

While the event is held in Fresno it’s not limited to Fresno residents: everyone is welcome. Organizers advise getting there early as all the distributions are on a first come first served basis.
