HANFORD, Calif. ( KSEE/KPGE ) – The upcoming market in Downtown Hanford is being canceled ahead of the Sept. 5 event.

Organizers say the forecast temperatures are too hot and the extreme temperatures have forced them to call off this week’s Thursday Night Market Place.

“We are getting hit with another hot Thursday,” organizers wrote on social media .

However, organizers are hopeful that the heat will subside adding “We can’t wait to be back next week.”

Weather forecasts for this week show that a heat advisory is in place from Wednesday morning until Friday evening . Temperatures in Hanford are forecast to be in the triple digits.
