Save Mart’s Merced distribution center to close

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Save Mart’s Yosemite Wholesale Distribution Center in Merced will be closing.

On Wednesday evening, company representatives confirmed to YourCentralValley.com that the Merced distribution center will be closing. In 2022, Save Mart Companies announced that it had been purchased by a private investment firm .

Company representatives say that over the past year, the Save Mart Companies have continued to maximize supply chain efficiencies to better support employees and customers. They say during that time, they have made several changes to the supply function, which includes the closure of the Yosemite Wholesale Distribution Center in Merced.

Representatives with the company did not say how many jobs the closure would affect or what date the distribution center would close by.

The Save Mart Yosemite Wholesale Distribution Center is located at 2674 Vassar Avenue, in Merced.
