Holiday Municipal Fireworks Displays Continue Tonight
UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, July 4, 2024) – Looking for fireworks shows to celebrate the Independence Day holiday?. While perhaps the largest show in West Michigan isn’t until Saturday evening in Grand Rapids over Ah-Nab-Awen Park, the explosives went off on Wednesday night over Allegan, Green Lake near Wayland, and South Haven. The actual July 4 municipal holiday presentations are over Lake Macatawa in Holland, as well as Allendale, Grand Haven, Grandville, and Hopkins. On Friday, Saugatuck/Douglas has its fireworks over Kalamazoo Lake, and joining the Calder City in waiting until Saturday to shoot off the explosives are Dorr and Gun Lake.

On June 27, the Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance was notified of a SLAPP-style lawsuit filed by North Shores of Saugatuck, LLC against it and David Swan personally. The complaint makes incendiary allegations that do not accurately portray what actually happened.
