Alcohol Banned at These Lake Tahoe Hotspots During Fourth of July Weekend
Planning to celebrate the Fourth of July with a beer on the beach at Lake Tahoe? Be prepared for some restrictions. Alcohol is banned at three of Lake Tahoe’s most popular beaches for the holiday. Officials have prohibited alcohol at Nevada Beach and Zephyr Cove Resort on July Fourth. Additionally, public consumption is banned at Chambers Landing in Tahoma for the entire holiday weekend, from July 3-7.
Fireworks, parade and airshows headline 2024 Fourth of July celebrations in South Lake Tahoe
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — South Lake Tahoe is doubling down on Fourth of July festivities, celebrating the holiday on July 3 and July 4. Complimenting the big parade this year is the inaugural Fourth of July Airshow over the lake. However, there'll also be more than planes in the sky as well, because Edgewood Tahoe will have their fireworks show visible from all over town.

If you have ever dreamed of swinging through the trees like Tarzan, Tahoe Treetop Adventure Parks is a hike for you. This is the most expensive trail I have ever hiked at $73! Tahoe Treetop Adventure has three parks in the area. I hiked at the Granlibakken Park off Granlibakken Road.
Valley celebrates Fourth with outdoor activities
Patriotic celebrations in Carson Valley get a running start Thursday in Gardnerville with the Freedom 5K Fun Run at Heritage Park. “This has continued to be a community favorite and widely supported,” said Main Street Gardnerville Program Director Jen Tune. “I like to say it is the most patriotic run on this side of the mountains.”
Glass artist, water colorist on display at Copeland
The Carson Valley Arts Council presents glass artist Janice Stowers and watercolor artist Reta Hanks at the Copeland Gallery in Minden through Aug. 30. Stowers has had a love for art glass for many years. Touring glass blowing facilities in Germany and Switzerland fueled her infatuation with the medium. In 2003 she participated in a glass fusing class in Reno, not realizing she would become totally obsessed with the idea of creating her own designs.
