Beasley Syndicating WXTU’s ‘Andie Summers Morning Show.’
Andie Summers, a morning staple at Beasley Media Group “92.5 XTU” WXTU Philadelphia since 1999, will expand into Boston and Las Vegas next week as Beasley syndicates “The Andie Summers Morning Show.” The show will launch on WKLB Boston (102.5) and KCYE Las Vegas on Monday. “Andie Summers has been beloved by loyal fans in Philly for decades and the show brand has only improved in recent years with the addition of Jeff Kurkjian, Donnie Black and Shannon Boyle,” Chief Content Officer Justin Chase said in a release. “I have no doubt that country radio listeners in Boston and Vegas will fall in love with this amazing cast.”

LAS VEGAS (August 22, 2024) – Aristocrat Gaming today celebrated the opening of its largest global manufacturing facility, the Las Vegas Integration Center, located in the West Henderson area of Southern Nevada. The 265,000-square-foot campus now serves as the manufacturing and distribution hub for much of North America and Latin America. This new facility is more than double the size of the previous location, increased from 8 to 12 production lines, and brings advanced technology to better meet current demand.
Hobson Fire in eastern Nevada reaches 100% containment

Lows in the Reno area will be in the 40's, but Carson City will drop into the upper 30's Sunday morning.
Nevada Gaming Commission approves half-billion-dollar distribution of Venetian/Palazzo profits
The Venetian Las Vegas is doing so well under Apollo Global Management that the Nevada Gaming Commission Thursday signed off on the private owner distributing $550 million in cash to its investors. Also on Thursday, the company unveiled a renovation to its convention center that hosts the upcoming Global Gaming Expo.

Cooler and wetter weather is moving into the region today, and will exit the area by late Saturday. Most of the rain will fall in northeast California and around Tahoe. The system is looking wetter around Truckee and Tahoe than it did on Thursday. For the Reno area the showers will be spotty and light. City of Reno gets $65,000 grant for homeless aid
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The City of Reno has been gifted a grant of $65,000 from UnitedHealthcare Health Plan of Nevada to aid the city’s homeless population. $50,000 will be dedicated to providing interim hotel assistance for rental and/or deposit assistance recipients when gaps occur between rental agreements. This initiative is designed to improve housing stability by preventing periods of homelessness during transitional times.
