Fireworks will light up sky in Elk River on Independence Day
File photo The city of Elk River is once again sponsoring the Independence Day fireworks. The July 4 fireworks will be launched from the Oak Knoll Athletic Complex just like the last few years. Viewing areas include the Elk River High School parking lot, Salk Middle School parking lot, Lion John Weicht Park, and many other Elk River locations. The public works facility and the Oak Knoll baseball parking lot will NOT be available for parking or viewing. The show will start at 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4. If there is a postponement due to weather, the city will provide an update on its social media channels.
