A man from Zimmerman was injured in a crash after driving in the wrong lane on Highway 169.

The man was injured after attempting to correct the vehicle before crashing on Saturday, June 22.

At approximately 9:10 a.m., Robert Pfluger, 42, of Zimmerman, was traveling on Highway 169 near 90th Street in Bogus Brook Township in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Trailblazer was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes, the State Patrol reported. When the vehicle corrected itself, it went off the road and crashed.

Pfluger sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center for treatment, the State Patrol reported. No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the crash, and it is unknown if Pfluger was wearing a seat belt at the time.

According to the State Patrol, road conditions were wet and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
