    Zimmerman woman arrested after firing at vehicle, barricading herself in home

    A woman who shot at an occupied vehicle in her driveway before barricading herself inside her home was arrested near Zimmerman Thursday morning.

    According to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, a man called 911 at around 7:30 a.m. to report that a woman was firing a revolver at him while he was in the car in her driveway.

    The vehicle was hit by multiple gunshots, but the man was not injured.

    The 61-year-old woman then went into her home, located on the 12800 block of 289th Avenue in Baldwin Township, and refused to exit.

    The Sherburne County Emergency Response Unit responded to the scene along with multiple other agencies.

    The woman was eventually arrested at around 11:10 a.m. She was taken to the hospital for an evaluation before being booked into the Sherburne County Jail on pending 2nd-degree assault charges.
