NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 20-year-old man was fatally struck by a train in Queens on Monday after an argument with an 18-year-old, the NYPD confirmed.

The incident happened at around 11 a.m. at the Elmhurst Avenue station on the northbound M and R line.

The two individuals had an argument during which the 20-year-old struck the 18-year-old in the head with a bottle, police said.

It remains unclear why the 20-year-old was on the tracks, police stated.

The 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The 18-year-old was taken to a local hospital.
