INDIANAPOLIS — Three Indiana Fever starters scored 20 or more points but couldn’t slow down the Minnesota Lynx, led by Napheesa Collier’s 26 points. The Fever’s five-game winning streak ended with a 99-88 loss Friday night.

Fresh off her second WNBA triple-double, Indiana guard Caitlin Clark had 25 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. But with 5:13 remaining and Indiana up by one, Clark’s turnover led to a Courtney Williams three-pointer, putting Minnesota ahead 81-77.

Bridget Carleton knocked down two important three-pointers late in the fourth quarter, pushing Minnesota’s lead to 87-80 and taking the wind out of Indiana’s momentum.

The Fever had a slight edge in field goal percentage (45.2% to 42.7%) and led in assists (25-19). Minnesota, however, dominated fast-break points (17-6) and capitalized on turnovers, scoring 15 points off Indiana’s miscues compared to the Fever’s 10.

Indiana guard Kelsey Mitchell scored 23 points, and center Aliyah Boston added 20 in the loss.

The Fever, now 18-17, have four games left on their six-game homestand and recently clinched their first playoff spot since 2016.

They will face the Atlanta Dream on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
