The Mountain Laurel Festival in Clarkesville is the longest running festival in the area, and it's easy to see why. This festival is full of great things to do! You'll find an arts and crafts show with over 140 vendors, a parade, live music, dancing, food trucks, family-friendly fun, sweets and treats, and so much more.

This year's festival will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 9am - 4pm.

The parade will kick off at 10am, followed by a full day of shopping, music, food, and family fun on the Square. You'll find a food court located on Jefferson Street near the Historic Mauldin House and Gardens.

The Mauldin House will be open for tours, and you'll be able to see the 1880s farm house, the century-old hat makers shop, and the pioneer Appalachian cabin. Pioneer skills demonstrations and craft workshops will be held throughout the day.

Additionally, the Old Clarkesville Cemetery will offer FREE tours from 11am - 5pm.

The festival will also have FREE Family Fun Activities in Pitts Park from Noon - 2pm. The Volunteers for Literacy Duck Race will be held at 2pm.

Clarkesville is located 1.5 hours north of Atlanta in the North Georgia Mountains. The festival is a rain or shine event, and admission is FREE.
