    Witness the return of “Voices of the West: Living Legends” at the Briscoe

    Calling all history buffs . The Briscoe Western Art Museum and the Alamo are combining history + storytellers in a new event series called, “Voices of the West: Living Legends.” The inaugural conversation will feature country music singer + Grammy winner Ray Benson , and be moderated by John Spong, host of Texas Monthly’s “
    One by Willie music history podcast.

    “Voices of the West” initially ran at the Briscoe from 2014 through 2017. The rebooted series will spotlight voices from Texas Monthly, singers, scholars, and historians to share tales of Texas + the American West.

    Here’s what to know before you saddle up :
    • Happening Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Briscoe Western Art Museum
    • Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m.
    • Online tickets starting at $25, with limited quantities at the door
    • VIP tickets include open bar, light appetizers, and a meet + greet with Ray Benson
    • Discounts available for Friends of the Alamo members, Briscoe members, military, first responders, and seniors
