Madden NFL 25's early release helped leak the Cincinnati Bengals' new orange pants

The Cincinnati Bengals will debut orange pants for the 2024 season, but a real life picture wasn't where they were first seen.

X/Twitter user @VonnParody posted a photo of the orange pants, which were first seen in edit uniform screen in Madden NFL 25, which launched its early release Monday afternoon.

The Bengals' account then quote-replied to the post, saying " Source? " About an hour later, they posted a photo of the real pants.

But wait, it gets better. Or worse, depending on if you're an employee of the Bengals.

This isn't just a poorly-taken photo of the pants being hung up by a shirt hanger. This is a callback to when the Bengals' new uniforms were leaked on eBay in 2021. An orange Joe Burrow jersey was posted on the website , hanging up against a wall with wrinkles and all. The Bengals didn't officially reveal the uniforms until the next month, to a much warmer reception. Surely they had similar plans with these pants.

Three years later, we've come full circle with a complete wardrobe.

EA Sports, the developer of the Madden franchise, has the official licensing of the NFL, giving them access to uniforms of all 32 clubs.

The Bengals knew they'd have them in the game, did they know the game would be out today? Probably not, which is kinda funny.

In trying to poke fun at the situation, fans caught on that the team was caught in a pickle.

So yeah, the Bengals will wear orange pants sometime this season. Teams can wear alternate uniforms up to three times in the regular season. The Bengals already announced they'll wear their White Bengal uniform in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

That gives them up to two games to wear the orange pants with their orange jerseys, which is a designated alternate jersey. They can also pair them with the black or white tops, but if you're gonna go orange, you may as well go ALL orange.

Hopefully they'll look better than hanging up on a shirt hanger.
