Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson makes bold statement involving LeBron James

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has already shown off his skills on a basketball court a few times over the past year.

And he shared just how confident he is in his basketball talent during a recent interview with Kay Adams on the "Up & Adams" show.

Richardson shared that he believes he could average about "12 to 13 points" in the NBA and agreed that he would beat Lebron James in a dunk contest. The second half of his statement is more believable because Lebron will turn 40 in December of this year. But even at age 40, he hasn't appeared to lose his next-level athletic ability, so I think my money would still be on Lebron. Even if Richardson has shown, he can throw it down on a basketball court.

When it comes to averaging 12 to 13 points a game, I'm a little more skeptical. I'm sure Richardson has schooled countless people on the court over the years. But playing basketball in the NBA is a whole other animal. There have been multiple elite athletes not able to pan out once making the jump to the NBA. And averaging 12 to 13 points isn't some small task. Here are some player's points per game from this past NBA season to put this into perspective.
