Former Texas Longhorns defensive tackle and Seattle Seahawks 16th overall pick Byron Murphy II has been a hit thus far at the team's training camp. Not only has the 306-pounder quickly taken to his role within new head coach Mike Macdonald's defense, but the rookie also made a name for himself during the team's recent talent show.

See the video below of Murphy showing off his mic skills as he freestyled rapped in front of his teammates.

The 21-year-old produced 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks over his three-year career at Texas. He earned second-team All-American honors and the 2023 Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year. His rise throughout the 2023 season was remarkable as he excelled next to T'Vondre Sweat.

Murphy spent 48 seconds on the mic in front of his teammates, drawing praise and claps as he made his way through his freestyle. The responses from fans were way more positive than what most athletes get, especially compared to Hard Knocks episodes where rookies stumbled through their talent shows.

It will only matter if Seattle puts together a better season in 2024 than in 2023. The Texas Longhorns did well to produce several impactful rookies, with Murphy being the one who has been nabbed the best of the bunch.
