3 Eagles players that may have lost their jobs in preseason game 2 vs. Patriots

The Philadelphia Eagles are undefeated after pulling off another thrilling last-minute win over the New England Patriots on Thursday.

The Eagles looked like they were going to chalk the game up as a loss until rookie running back Kendall Milton pushed in a touchdown with 4:23 left on the clock and the Birds followed up with a go-ahead two-point conversion. Fellow rookie running Ainias Smith caught the final touchdown pass from third-string quarterback Tanner McKee , resulting in a 14-13 victory.

We previously looked at three Eagles players whose stock spiked drastically in the win , which may have helped their case for a final roster spot. Now, we're going to look at the three Eagles players who may have lost their jobs on Thursday night.

DB James Bradberry

The Eagles have had veteran defensive back James Bradberry playing a lot in both preseason games so far.

This could be because they're not very high on him or they're just trying to get a better feel of him at safety.

Either way, there seems to be not much improvement between last year's Bradberry who allowed the most touchdowns in the league, and this year's Bradberry no matter where he lines up.

It's nice to have that veteran depth on the roster just in case, but is it worth it?

He looked slower, missed routine tackles, and got cooked by a Patriots rookie wideout.

WR Johnny Wilson

Rookie wide receiver Johnny Wilson looked phenomenal in the Eagles' Week 1 preseason win over the Baltimore Ravens.

This time was a tad different. Not because he looked bad, but because he suffered a concussion in the Eagles' joint practice with the Patriots on Tuesday.

The Eagles look like they want to keep the giant receiver on their roster, but they're going to need to get another real-game look from him before they make their final decision. Let's hope he recovers in time for the final preseason matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Aug. 24.

QB Kenny Pickett

Ah, and then there's quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Nick Sirianni said after the game that Pickett is their No. 2 quarterback and shut down the notion that there is a backup competition going on. That is slightly concerning considering Tanner McKee has looked a lot more comfortable in the pocket over the last two games.
