Antonio Pierce and the Las Vegas Raiders plan to make an important announcement before matchup with Chargers

The 2024 season is almost underway. On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens will have had the season kicked off, and on Sunday the Las Vegas Raiders will start their season against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Of course, before the Raiders can kick off their season, they must first mark some things off of their checklist. The first thing on the checklist when the preseason started, was to figure out who the team's quarterback would be to start the season. Check -- it's Gardner Minshew. The second thing would be to figure out who you're 53 players are that you will have on your active roster to start the season. Check.

There are a few other things that have to be checked off as well but aren't as quite as important as the other two, and they have been checked, too. Now, another thing will be checked off of the list sometime before they play their first game against the Chargers.

The Raiders and Antonio Pierce will be making somewhat of an announcement later in the week, and it's to announce who the captains are for this season -- who will wear those giant C patches on their jerseys.

We can assume a few of them, like Maxx Crosby, maybe even Davante Adams, and you can assume that Gardner Minshew might as well considering a QB usually has one. We shall see what happens.
