    Xavier Worthy is fast.

And the biggest mistake that the other 31 teams in the NFL made was allowing Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to get a weapon like that.

Everyone thought that the duo was going to be scary together, and they proved that immediately in Thursday night's season opener.

Mahomes gave the ball to Worthy, who proved that he was the fastest player in the NFL. He powered through a small opening, leaving the Ravens defenders lunging to try and make the tackle.

They clearly weren't successful as Worthy easily ran it into the end zone.

And what made it so much better was this was Worthy's first touch.

Even Miami Dolphins speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill couldn't believe what he just saw.

"That boy rolling omg," he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Worthy set the 40-yard dash record this past year at the 2024 NFL Combine, running it in 4.21 seconds. The previous record was 4.22 by John Ross.

The Chiefs selected Worthy with the 28th overall pick in the draft, after trading with the Buffalo Bills.

Even Taylor Swift was up on her feet cheering for the Chiefs first touchdown of the season.

Not a bad start to his NFL career. It'll only go up from here.
