Former Ole Miss Rebels star player bashes the program and fans as he remarks upon his new destination

The Ole Miss Rebels look set for a special season in 2024, especially after their record setting Week 1 performance in a 76-0 thrashing of Furman. But that didn't stop one former Rebels star from bashing the program and fans this week as he remarked upon his new team's stadium atmosphere.

Quinshon Judkins, the star running back for Ole Miss over the past two seasons, was impressed by Ohio State's stadium atmosphere in Week 1 as Buckeyes fans packed the house in their destruction of Akron last Saturday:

"Over 100,000 [fans]. Being at Ole Miss, I only got to see that at away games."

It may have been a throwaway comment from Judkins, but it certainly stung Ole Miss fans and a program that many felt he should have stayed with as the team was heading for something special this year.

Judkins racked up over 3000 yards from scrimmage in his first two seasons with the Ole Miss Rebels and was slated for yet another year as the team's feature back when he shockingly announced that he would be taking his talents to Columbus to join the Ohio State Buckeyes. It was bad enough that he left. He didn't have to throw dirt on the wound by knocking the stadium atmosphere at Ole Miss.

Lane Kiffin and the Rebels are still trying to find their replacement for Judkins as they head into their Week 2 matchup against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. Kiffin went as far as to specifically say that he really needed to see his team "establish the run this week" as they failed to do so against Furman in Week 1.

The majority of their running backs failed to eclipse even five yards per carry against the weak FCS defense last Saturday. Hopefully the offense can get their ground game act together and stick it to Quinshon Judkins and Ohio State when it matters most later this season.
