Proud parent Cooper Manning, who doubles as Arch’s father, joined the Fox pre-game show as Texas Longhorns fans started filling into Michigan Stadium ready for the 11 a.m. showdown.

Arch Manning, Quinn Ewers’ backup, passed and ran for his first two touchdowns at Texas last week in a 52-0 win over Colorado State. It’s not clear whether he’ll see any action this week against No. 10 Michigan (1-0), but coach Steve Sarkisian has shown firm belief in Cooper’s son.

Asked what it was like to watch Arch last week, Cooper Manning said, “He was thrilled. As a parent, you’re just excited when they’re excited. You couldn’t wipe that smile off his face. He’s excited to get some action and looking forward to a big day in the Big House.”

Cooper Manning was rumored to have paid staff at The Graduate hotel in Ann Arbor to fly Texas flags out front. Whether it’s true or not, Texas fans have no doubt taken hold in the area and the Big House.

Women’s basketball coach Vic Schaefer and Texas legend Jody Conradt were down on the sideline early, too.

Game time is just around the corner.
