Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill gets the Scottie Scheffler treatment hours before Week 1 kickoff

Well, that's not exactly the way you expected to see Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill get handled for his speed on the day of his 2024 season opener.

Hill was reportedly arrested on Sunday morning just outside Hard Rock Stadium hours ahead of the team's 1:00 pm kickoff against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to a statement released by the Dolphins, Hill arrived at the stadium and will play on Sunday.

Hill's arrest has strong similarities to that of PGA Tour star Scottie Scheffler, who was arrested in Louisville during the 2024 PGA Championship back in May.  Scheffler was arrested while attempting to enter the tournament grounds before the second round of the event and taken to jail after allegedly refusing to follow an officer's commands and supposedly carrying an officer on his car.  Video appeared to refute those claims, and the charges were later dropped.

It appears as though Hill will not have to go through the exact same issues as Scheffler though, given he's at the stadium and not in a jail cell.  Hill will surely have his own take on the incident after the game.

Fortunately, for those on the road, it seems as though nothing serious occurred as far as an accident or any injuries.  And fortunately for Dolphins fans, it appears as though they'll have their speedy franchise player on the field as the team looks to get their 2024 season off on the right foot.
