Broadway and Opera Star Teaches SUNY Potsdam Masterclass

POTSDAM, N.Y. (WWTI) – SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music welcomes back Broadway and opera star Lisa Vroman ’79 for a public masterclass with students on Thursday, April 18 at 4 p.m., in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.

The masterclass is titled “Bel Canto—Can Belt-O!” and will concentrate on the athleticism and grace needed in all genres. Audience participation will be invited and one singer from each Crane School of Music voice studio will perform and receive instruction in front of the audience.

The event is free and open to the public. Vroman will be visiting SUNY Potsdam to participate in the inaugural ceremony for SUNY Potsdam President Suzanne Smith.
