April 27 & May 25: Latin Beats: Salsa-Dancing workshop in Canton

Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton is partnering with North Country Latin Dance to host a two-session Latin Beats: Salsa-Dancing workshop on Saturday, April 27 and Saturday, May 25 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Dr. Jeanna Matthews founder of the North Country Latin Dance community will lead dancers through the fundamentals of salsa including leading and following and a variety of dance moves such as shoulder check and hairbrush, and basic steps like cumbia, and a variety of turn patterns. The April workshop will include bachata moves and the May instruction will include bomba.

The workshops will be hosted in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton social room. The church is located at 3 1/2 E. Main Street in Canton. Parking is located at the back of the church building.
