New Harrisville Health Center opening today

HARRISVILLE, N.Y. (WWTI) – A new health center is opening up today in Harrisville.

Harrisville Family Health Center is slated to open Wednesday. The New York State Department of Health approved Lewis County Health System’s certificate of need followed by an onsite review resulting in the issuing of the occupancy certificate.

We are pleased to be able to provide patients in the Harrisville area with local access to health care. This would not have been possible without the support of the Hospital Board of Managers, Town of Diana, Legislator Herb Frost and former Legislator Phil Hathway.

The Harrisville Health Center will be open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be staffed by a Physician Assistant, an LPN and a physician office assistant. R. Brian Shambo will serve as Medical Director of the clinic.

A community open house celebration will be scheduled in early October.
